Welcome to my little corrner of the internet. A little about myself. I am an I.T.
Professional with roughly 28 years of experience in the field. I started out working
with friends and family as a teenager fixing computers and helping with systems in my
schools. Eventually I ended up today working for a great company as a consultant on
endpoint security.
Besides my professional career and I am a doted husband and father. I try and stay
active in my family with sports, supporting my kids, enteraining my wife. I love to
tinker on my computer and lab out all sorts of things from creating this website, writing
Scripts in PowerShell, Python, C#, etc. I also love to play games. In particular I prefer
single player (J)RPGs, adventure, or dungeon crawler type games. Every now and then
I enjoy a good logic puzzle, Rubix's cube, brain teaser, and others.
I graduated from Titusville High School in Titusville, Florida.
I joined the Army in 1998 as a 19K. This is a "tanker". It was pretty fun. After a few years I changed jobs and became a 31U which deals primarily with radios and computers. Again after some more years I once again reclassed this time as a 25B. 25Bs are strictly computers, servers, networks all the geeky stuff. I left active duty in 2009 and went into the reserves until 2012.
After the military I worked as an Active Directory Administrator under various sub contracts for NASA. There I learned a great deal more and worked with the smartest people I have ever met. Such a great group of folks.
When my contract with NASA was up, I found some work again dealing primarily with Active Directory up in Nashville, TN. I can't say I loved the long drive every day but it was work and got to meet Some more great folks.
After that short term contract ended I found myself working for a great local business call GigaParts. There I found my new hobby which I love to tinker in, Ham Radio. Can you believe it. Ham Radio is still a thing and not dead like so many people think. You might find me on the air waves if so send me a QSO! My call sign is KW4FR.
After a while I once again found myself moving to another city and state to work for Synovus. This time in their Identity and Access management Team. There I was the engineer with the assigned duty of administrating their PAM implementation.
Lastly we end up with CyberArk. This is hands down a great company to work for. Here I am primarily focused on consulting for their Enpoint Priviledge Manager solution to customers world wide.
One of my most favorite things is to keep learning new things with Computers, network, services, and pretty much anything I.T. I have well more than my share of computers in my home. My wife is sure to remind me when I'm spending too much time out in my office. I'm trying hun I promise!
Have you ever heard of an I.T. Geek who doesn't love a good game? Well me either. I love to play adventure and rpg style games. One thing that drives my son bonkers is that I have to "100%" every game I play. I started playing Final Fantasy over a year ago and just recently completed Final Fantasy X / X2 getting every trophy and achievement in every game. Such a grind but it's so much fun.
I probably shouldn't wave this nerd flag too high but it is a big one for me. I will watch hours and hours and hours of educational type videos on youtube. Things such as astrophysics, chemistry, history, and documentaries of all kinds. I'll never stop trying to learn new things.
I love to watch children playing sports. I've coached my son's teams in baseball and soccer. He for sure always has something going on. I try my best to never miss any games and have been know to yell pretty loud at times.
This is my lovely wife Clay. She is a southern firecracker always on the go. She love the beach and music with much passion. She is a doting mother and will go to the ends of the earth for anyone of her friends and family. You are always graced in her pressance.
These are my sons, Ethan and Caleb. Both drive me crazy. One is a musician and the other is a soccer all-star. They both amaze me everyday with something. Both have talents that I wish I had when I were their age. Great boys.
These are my in-laws, Louie and Vickie. They are about as "country" as one could get. These two are always busy and in their retirement they still work circles around anyone. Just like their daughter, (she must have learned it from them), they will give you the shirt off their back and will not let anything get in their way when it comes to helping someone, contributing to some school function or just lending a hand. Great people to have in your corner in a pinch.
