Why Least Privilege Still Matters on Endpoints

Standing local administrator rights remain one of the most reliable paths an attacker can take once they land on an endpoint. Removing them does not require perfect user experience, but it does require deliberate policy.

CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager makes this practical by allowing just-in-time elevation for approved applications and tasks without leaving users as permanent admins. Combined with application control, it significantly reduces the blast radius of most endpoint compromises.

The organizations that do this well treat least privilege as a foundational control rather than an afterthought.
